May Wrap-up

Whew! Boy, have I been busy!  It's a week into June and I'm just now getting to my May Wrap-up!  


I participated in a swap in the FreshStitches group on Ravelry.  As you may remember from an earlier post I received the cutest pink dinosaur! I sent my package off to my buddy and this is what she got:  

A Plarko the Monster and two pink ladybugs for her daughters!

I also donated to the Purple Stitch Project, where I donated a purple fish that will go to a child at Camp Brainstorm.  This camp is for children with Epilepsy and seizure disorders. 

This little guy will soon have a new friend!

I have also donated a ballerina doll to be raffled at a Relay for Life event. All of the proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.  She is one of FreshStitches' new doll designs.

And finally, I have published my Phoebe the Butterfly pattern!! I'm so excited to finally get her published!  She is all ready to fly away with you. You can find her in my Ravelry Store.

Stormy Sunday

Hey everyone! It's been a stormy Sunday here but I've been productive. 

 A while back I took FreshStitches' Craftsy course on Designing your own Monster, which teaches how to turn a sketch or idea into your own amigurumi design. Last night (really late) I finished putting mine together! I'm proud to introduce, Phoebe the Butterfly!

Pardon the bad picture, but as I mentioned, it has been stormy today and this was the best picture I could get.  I'm working on typing up the pattern, which will be available soon. 

Also, this week, I finished 2 cuties that are going to be with a couple of sisters.  A purple giraffe and a pink owl. 

The photo spot in the above picture has become my favorite spot! The pictures look great there in the evening. 

Yesterday, my parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary!! I have a wonderful mom and dad.  They are great Christian people who love God, and are always willing to help others.  I am truly blessed to have been raised by them.

I received a swap package!

Hello everyone! 

I'm participating in another swap through Ravery in the FreshStitches group.  Since I can't share what I'm sending to my buddy yet I will show you what I received!  

I got a pink striped Cliff the Brontosaurus!

Isn't he just the cutest!!!

He was hiding under some yarn that my buddy sent me too!  I was so excited to get this package!  

I will be sure to share pictures of what I'm making for my buddy when she receives it.  

It's a Bat, Man!

I was asked to make a couple of bats for commission a while back and they went to their new homes yesterday. I don't typically think of bats as being cute but look at this guy!  He is a cutie! I made a brother for him too. 

It was a rainy day (as you can tell) so this was as close to outdoors as I could get to take a picture.

Secrets and Ice

It's a cold, rainy, icy, sleepy day here. I've just been working on my project for my Classified Cupid from my Ravelry group FreshStitches.  I can't tell you what it is in case my cupidee is watching. o.O  It is a secret swap where we make them a crocheted FreshStitches design and get them or make them an extra surprise. It is super fun and I can't wait for my cupidee to get theirs!
